Fire Departments

Because of the large area that China covers, the town has three stations located in the different villages for easier and quicker access to the public in case of an emergency.

China Village Fire Department

China Village Volunteer Fire Department - There’s a job for everyone.

We have people running into buildings with hoses, sure, but we could also use you to bring water and food out to those fighting the fire or for cleaning the trucks, helping with fund-raising, doing the bookkeeping. Every skill is needed to help protect China. And you can gear what you do to the time you have available.” - Deputy Chief Timothy Theriault

The benefits of being a volunteer firefighter are many. There’s the technical training and real life skills you’ll receive. The satisfaction of teaching kids and seniors about fire safety. The fact that no two emergency calls are ever the same. There’s the immense sense of pride and satisfaction that comes from giving back to your community by doing a vital job. And maybe most important, the camaraderie, the feeling of family, the lasting relationships you’ll build belonging to a team that shares one overriding goal: to be of service to others in their time of greatest need.

We are currently accepting applications for membership. Please email us at CVVFD@roadrunner.com  or send us a direct message on Facebook for an application.  China Village Volunteer Fire Department meets on the second Tuesday of each month at our station located at 30 Causeway Road. Visitors may apply in person and should plan to arrive by 6:30 PM on meeting nights.
